OSRS Item Set Arbitrage Calculator

A set can cost more or less than its pieces. Compare both directions after GE tax, then check each item's buy limit and recent volume before placing offers. The clerk exchange is free; tax applies when you sell through the GE.

Item set FAQ

How do OSRS item sets work?

A Grand Exchange clerk swaps an eligible set for its listed pieces, or the pieces for the set. The exchange is free; GE tax applies when you sell items through the Grand Exchange.

How is item set profit calculated?

Breaking a set subtracts the set's buy price from the after-tax proceeds of its pieces. Building a set subtracts the pieces' buy prices from the after-tax sale proceeds of the set.

How many sets can I trade in four hours?

Breaking is capped by the set's buy limit. Building is capped by the smallest component buy limit adjusted for recipe quantity. A buy limit does not guarantee an offer will fill; check recent volume too.

Does a positive margin guarantee profit?

No. The figures use recent prices and tax rules. Prices can move, and thinly traded sets or pieces may take a long time to buy or sell.
